Celebrating Motherhood…Research on the Fetus and the New Born over the last 20 years has made tremendous progress and revolutionary knowledge has been gained. It has been found that the “Yet-to-be-born” Child is an aware, reacting human being who leads an active emotional life. Along with this startling finding, the following discoveries have been made. The “Yet-to-be-born” can see, hear, experience, taste and on a primitive level even learn while in the Womb. Most importantly he can also feel. Corollary to this discovery is that what the “Yet-to-be-born” feels and perceives begins shaping his attitudes and expectations about himself. Whether he sees himself as a “happy or sad”, “aggressive or meek”, “secure or anxiety-ridden” person when he grows up – depends to an extent on the messages he gets while in the Womb. |
Remember!
“The Chief Source of these Shaping Messages is the Expectant Mother.”
What happens to all of us in the 9 Months – between Conception & Birth moulds & shapes our Personality, Aspiration, Attitude etc. in very important ways.
So, is there anything Women can do during Pregnancy to increase the Chances
of Delivering a Physically, Emotionally & Intellectually Well Balanced Child?
Definitely Yes!
Research has proven that learning can start as early as in the Fetus, whereby the Mother / Father can communicate with the “Yet-to-be-born” and stimulate his Brain Cells, Talk, Sing & Communicate with him.
Ancient Indian Scriptures talk about Prahaladha & Abhimanyu who started learning even when they were in the Womb of their Mothers.
Also studies have shown that Prenatally Stimulated Babies showed better Visual, Linguistic and Motor Development than those who were not. It has been proven that in many instances, these Babies were calmer and their mothers had easier and smoother deliveries.

What Experts Say...

According to Dr.Thomas R. verny the world's leading expert on the effects of prenatal and
early postnatal environment on personality development
"Every minute, there are new brain cells being formed in the unborn child. And as the new brain cells are being formed, pathways or circuits are being formed along the lines that help assist communication for whatever the child needs. For example, the child will obviously need to breathe, the child will need to move when he is born, the eyelids will need to open and close organs and all the nervous tissue that supply these organs has to start developing long before birth.
It's the same thing with the brain circuits. The more you stimulate a child's skin, or the more you stimulate its auditory nerves(hearing) the more those pathways will develop and become stronger so that when the child is born, he or she is better prepared for the world"

"The most important thing you can do to ensure a healthy Baby and promote a Healthy Brain and Mental abilities is to have the healthiest Pregnancy Possible"
-Dr.Lise Eliot, P.hd., Asst. Professor of Neuro Science at the Chicago Medical School and Author of 'What's Going On There?' and 'How the Mind Develops in the 1st Years of LIfe?

"Anecdotal evidence suggests that stimulating the human fetus in the womb can markedly improve its outcome and development, somehow enhancing intelligence," says Professor Petter Hepper of Queen's University Belfast.

"Miracles Occur When a woman and/or her family connects with their unborn child. From preconception through pergnancy and labor and birth" .... Teresa Robertson, RN, CNM, MSN of Boulder, CO. Teresa has participated in about 1600 births and counsels with couples about conception and pregnancy. She teaches communication between parent and child, from before conception right throught pregnancy to birth and babyhood
